All the reviews about this item are spot on. Easy to attach to my 305 and WAY more comfortable than the rubber strap that comes standard with the unit. The holes on the rubber strap were just off for me. One notch to tight or one notch to loose. The velcro strap can be adusted to exactly the level of comfort you desire. The charging cradle fits easily under the gps without removing the strap and as a small added bonus, the strap has reflective strips for dark runs. Ok, they are VERY small reflective strips but hey, every bit helps. Highly recommend this product and it’s way less expensive here than from Garmin.

I am happy with this strap. I like it better than the plastic strap that came with the unit. It is comfortable. The only thing is that you have to get the charging cradle in between the strap and the unit.

Bought this when the rubber strap for my Garmin 305 broke after only a month of use. It’s more comfortable and seems to handle the bulk of the unit a little better. Been working fine for the last few weeks, we’ll see how it does on the funk test after a few months, that’s the usual downside of these kinds of straps.

This hook and loop fastener for the wrist is wonderful. Having this quick attachment makes it a lot easier to get ready and also a lot better to view the forerunner while you are running.

Much easier and more comfortable to use than the supplied strap. Does not hinder charging of the watch. Easy to exchange straps. Very secure on wrist. Would recommend.

Great product that I use on my wrist as well as on the Garmin bicycle mount – on my wrist it is much more comfortable than the stock band and easier to take on and off. On the bicycle mount it holds my Forerunner more securely than the stock band.

Makes it possible to wear the ForeRunner outside the sleeve of your jacket – the extender even makes it fit outside several layers of clothing and above the wrist.

I used the ForeRunner to navigate home on ski through whiteout conditions in the mountains – having it on my arm so that I could see it all the time without having to take off my gloves or put aside my skiing poles. In -10 degrees C (14 degrees F) that is kind of nice. Looking for a really useful GPS unit? Make sure you can use it in really cold conditions without freezing your fingers to icicles …

For normal use, I find this strap works much better than the regular plastic wrist strap which comes with the unit, and is very comfortable – especially on sweaty skin.

Note: I would not recommend the ForeRunner as your only or primary wilderness GPS (one reason being that the battery is not replaceable). And don’t leave home without a map and a compass – and the knowledge to use them …

The original forunner writstrap is very flimsy and ripped open where it connects to the watch. I had to emergency duck tape it, but I still lost my foreunner 305 during a hike and it had data on it for the Wall of China, Bejing, local hikes and the summit of Kilimanjaro.

Get this one, it is strong, durable and does not have the inherit week points of the original. It is also much easier to put on and remove.

I have had a Garmin 205 for about a year now. My wife and I both did not like the rubber strap provided so we bought a replacement strap. I looked everywhere for a velcro/fast-wrap that you did not have to remove the pins to download/charge the gps. You won’t find one out there. This strap is great: stays in place, resists moisture/sweat, easy to fasten. Garmin’s website doesn’t descirbe this either: you can just slip the charging unit between the strap and watch; it’s great. The was the best $10 I have spent in a long time. Keep running.

The wrist strap works well on the wrist. But once you want to place the unit on the cradle for charging or dowloading, you can’t as it does not fit. Some reviewers say you can slip the cradle between the strap and the unit but this is not possible. I have to remove the unit from the one of the strap sides using the provided tool to place on cradle. I think I will be ordering the original wrist band as my problem was that it broke from overtightening.

I don’t understand why the watch does not come with this strap new in the box. It is 100times better than the standard watch strap. Thats all you need to know, this is a must have for any Garmin Forerunner.
